KIR-T Celebrates National Teen Pregnancy Prevention Month

Did you know that May is National Teen Pregnancy Prevention Month (NTPPM)? This month, KIR-T joins organizations across the country in raising awareness about teen pregnancy and how it can be prevented.

Despite historic declines in the rates of teen pregnancy and births in the United States, the U.S. teen birth rate is still higher than that of many other developed countries, and significant racial and ethnic disparities remain.1 While May is a critical time to consider teen pregnancy and how it impacts individuals and the community as a whole, we at KIR-T believe that this issue demands focus year-round.
